I'm gonna get it!

I am learning how to get the things that I want even if it means standing on my tippy toes! I am getting taller so it is so fun to see new things that I never knew existed before. I get told "NO" a lot, but I don't let that stop me!!!

Nonnie and me

Mommy took me to the park for the first time to have a picnic lunch and then to play on the swingsets. My Nonnie met me there and played with me too. I like my Nonnie. She's fun to play with and to walk with!!! I have the coolest Boppy and Nonnie (and Papa and Nannad are cool too, but I prefer the girls right now)~

Pigtails and Overalls

My hair has gotten much thicker and longer so now my mommy can do pigtails. I think I look like I'm ready to go to school now. I also really liked wearing these overalls. Normally I'm in a dress, so this was a nice change!!!

Mommy and Kate

So here is a rare picture of my mommy and me. She is always taking pictures of me, but I don't know how to take pictures of her yet! I love my mommy soooo much. In fact, I have heard my daddy say that he feels sad that I won't play with him when mommy is around. I'm sorry daddy! I don't mean to hurt your feelings, but I just have never been separated from mommy since I was in her tummy for very long. We understand eachother. But pretty soon, I'll start to be more independent from mommy. But daddy, at least I don't look very much like mommy. I look just like you!!!

10 months old!

I'm a BIG girl now! Only 2 more months until my big birthday bash! I am sooo excited.

I don't like to sit for very long. I have soo many things to play with and to learn, sitting is just too boring.

My New Big Girl Car Seat!!!

Where's Nonnie?

I LOVE eating "big people" food! Spaghetti is my favorite so far. I love the feel of the noodles between my fingers! And I like getting dirty while eating. Actually, my absolute favorite food is strawberries and blueberries. Momma says that I may turn into a blueberry!! I don't think that is possible, but she's got me thinking now!!!

Mmmmmm.......

Where's Nonnie? We're at her house but she's not here. Maybe she's outside!

Oh well. I guess I will just play on the floor while I wait for her. I love crawling around, but it's kinda getting boring now. I've been crawling for 3 months now and I'm a pro at it, so I'm ready to move on to more challenging things, like walking!!!!

9 months old!

I'm 9 months old now! I had tons of fun visiting my Boppy and Papa in Chicago! My mommy is still trying to figure out how to put my Boppy's pictures on here, so hopefully she'll get it working so you can see how much fun I had with my cousins! I had to go to the doctors today for my 9 month check-up! I was having such a good day until then. I really like my doctor, but I DON'T like her nurse who comes in every time at the end to give me shots in my leg. I hate that part. But I weigh 19 pounds now and 28.5 inches. I'm getting bigger and stronger every day. Oh, I can also say "baba" and "mama" now and I can eat "big people" food. I haven't had too much of it yet, but the little stuff I got a taste of I loved. I also LOVED watching firecrackers on the 4th of July. I laughed and laughed at the sky when it changed colors. Anyways, I will try to give momma some time during the day to figure out how to show you my Chicago pictures!

Just a quick update from Chicago

Well, this is the first time I am posting with NO picture....It seems like a crime! haha. But Dave, Kate and I are all in Chicago visiting my family. Kate and I have been here since June 26th and Dave came up here on July 3rd. We will be leaving July 12th to go back to the ridiculous heat called TEXAS! We are soooo enjoying our time up here with the fam. The weather is absolutely perfect. It makes us want to live up here simply for that reason! Dave has gotten in some golfing while we've been here and he has become addicted to how much more pleasant it is to be outdoors in weather like Chicago.

Kate has been the center of attention, of course. She just turned 9 months old two days ago. A picture will be following once we're back home! She is soooo close to walking. She has been standing by herself for a few seconds while we've been here. My family can't believe how advanced she is in her motor and verbal skills. She looks like a little peanut, however, she is acting like she is a 1 year old. SO SAD!!! At least for momma! I guess I just can't keep her my baby forever! She loves to climb on anyything and everything. My mom is just spoiling her like rotten. I am a little scared to transition back home where it will be just her and me again. Kate loves playing with her older cousins: Hana (8yo), Hunter (7yo), and Heidi (2yo). The newest "trick" Kate has learned while we've been here is to KISS on demand!!! It is the cutest thing EVER!!! If you ask her for a kiss, she will lean into your mouth and plant a BIG, SLOPPY, WET lick/kiss!!! It makes me melt every time!!! She seems to be such a cuddler and tender-hearted little girl.

Anyways, once I get back to TEXAS, I will post some fun pictures of our trip to Chicago. I even had an old college roommate from Texas meet us up here in Chicago with her husband because they were in town for a wedding. It was soooo nice to see her again. And it was my first time meeting her wonderful husband and her first time meeting Kate. We had a really nice visit. Thanks Abigail!!!

I Love Mommy!

I think this says it all! Although mommy dressed me, I would have picked this out too! She makes me smile and laugh and feel safe. We spend most of our days playing and shopping. It's fun to hang out with mommy. I love you momma!

Summer Days with Kate

Hi mommy! So how do I get out of here? I don't get this whole window and door thing. Just don't go anywhere or else I will get really scared. I need to see you at all times!!

What in the world is this? And why am I sitting in it? It's kind of yucky. Can we go back inside now? I feel really silly.

Mmmm. Now this is something new?! It's cold and wet. What am I supposed to do with it?

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

I love my daddy. He's my boyfriend. Daddy said that I can NEVER have any other boyfriend except him. But he doesn't have to worry about that cause I don't like boys anyways, except for daddy of course. I hope my daddy knows how much I love him and look up to him. He's so funny. He can always make me laugh. Happy Daddy Day!!!

8 Months old!

Well, today I am officially 8 months old! I feel so excited. Mommy says that it's a special day for me. She said it's my birthday!!! I asked her if I get presents, but she said not until I turn 1 years old!!! I am so excited to turn 1!!! Not much longer....

Mommy let me get all messy last night at dinner. That was so fun. Mommy is so cool. I tried to feed myself with a spoon, but as you can see, it didn't go very well....
